Lynda Schrier Wirth
President
Lynda is the founder and President of Schrier Wirth Executive Search. Founded in 1996, Schrier Wirth Executive Search specializes in executive recruiting for the hospitality and real estate industries. Her firm's varied client list includes major hotel chains, independent properties, clubs, and hospitality real estate owning and advisory firms.
Lynda is a 1982 graduate of the Cornell School of Hotel Administration. Her prior industry experience includes various positions in operations and marketing with the Sheraton Corporation later Starwood Hotels), and over ten years of hospitality consulting experience with the New York office of PKF Consulting (now part of CBRE). She is a certified general real estate appraiser and was an adjunct faculty member of New York University's School for Hospitality & Tourism and for the World Trade Center Institute.
Lynda was a member of the Cornell University Council and the Major Gift Committee from July 2013 until June 2016. She remains a sustaining member of the President's Council for Cornell Women (PCCW). She was a member of the Dean's Advisory Board for the Cornell School of Hotel Administration (2010-2013) and was the President of the International Cornell Hotel Society in 2009. She was the 1st Vice President in 2008, the 2nd Vice President in 2007, the Northeast Regional Vice President from 1997-2003 and a Past President of the New York City Chapter from 1991-1992. She represented the Cornell Hotel Society on the Alumni Trustee Nomination Committee for the University from 1994 to 1997 and then completed a second term from 2010-2013. She was selected for the Alumni Showcase for the northeast region in 2004 and was an original member of the Advisory Board for the Lee and Mary Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship at the Hotel School. She remains a trustee for the Cornell Hotel Society Foundation.
She has written various articles for industry publications including Lodging, Hotel Business, The Urban Land Institute's publication on hotel development, and has spoken at various conferences including the International Hospitality Investment Conference and Commercial Property World. Lynda has made numerous presentations at the Hotel Sales and Marketing Association's monthly events. She has also been a guest lecturer at Cornell and at Harvard Business School.

It is through this vast network of contacts and professional organizations that Lynda is able to directly source qualified candidates as well as candidate referrals.

Lynda is a past co-chair of the “Learning to Look” program in her local grade school. This program teaches elementary school children how to look at works of art. She is a member of the fundraising committee for the "Matter of Taste" event for the Arc of Westchester. The Arc provides services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. She resides in Scarsdale, New York with her husband Michael and their two children, Harrison and Sabrina.
Cherie M Bagwill
Senior Vice President
Cherie serves as Senior Vice President of Schrier Wirth Executive Search. She has been with the firm for more than 15 years and has successfully placed candidates in a wide range of hospitality and tourism related positions, both domestic and international. Her role includes active recruitment of candidates, research and closure of the placement process. She is a graduate of the Masters of Professional Studies Program at Cornell University’s School of Administration and she received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and International Studies from Rollins College.
Early in Cherie’s career, she provided consulting services to the hospitality industry. She worked for Laventhol & Horwath and held the role of Manager of their Hospitality and Real Estate practice in Boston. Prior to joining Schrier Wirth, Cherie provided independent hospitality consulting services to clients in the Northeast. Throughout her career, she has held major chairperson roles in various association and fundraising committees.
Cherie serves on the Board of the New York City Chapter of Cornell Hotel Society. She chairs the committee for the annual Big Apple Update in New York City. The event, now in its 10th year, features a panel of industry executives in the hospitality and tourism industries with a specific focus on the dynamics of the NYC market. She is also a member of the Hotel Sales and Marketing Association International.
She has volunteered and has been a member of the Benefits Committee for the Orphaned Starfish Foundation (OSF) for over 10 years. OSF is a global non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping orphans, victims of abuse, victims of trafficking and at-risk youth break their cycles of abuse and poverty through computer-based education, job training and job placement assistance.
